Na parte superior do corpo, surge um sol que simboliza a necessidade de atenção, de cuidado e de ações efetivas para restabelecer o equilíbrio dos ecossistemas e preservar a espécie.
Predadores solitários, os jaguares necessitam de áreas extensas e com hábitat de boa qualidade para caçar e sobreviver. Atualmente, estudos indicam que as principais ameaças à espécie são a caça ilegal e a perda e a fragmentação de áreas de vegetação nativa decorrente de atividades humanas.
This jaguar is a warning of the drastic reductions in the feline's population, mainly in the Brazilian Atlantic Forest and Caatinga, with biomes represented on the sides of the sculpture. On the upper part of the body, a sun appears, symbolizing the need for attention, care and effective actions to restore the balance of ecosystems and preserve the species. Solitary predators and jaguars need extensive areas and good habitats to hunt and survive. Currently, studies indicate that the main threats to the species are illegal hunting and the loss and fragmentation of areas of native vegetation resulting from human activities.
Juliana's Bio': A artista visual Ju Barros, nascida em 1973, vive na cidade paulista de Guaratinguetá. Ela se expressa através de mosaicos com pintura em vidro e arte digital. Mestra em Computação Gráfica pela PUC-Rio, fez cursos de especialização em criação de mosaicos, pintura em vidro e História da Arte. Participou de exposições no Brasil e no exterior, publicações e leilões de arte.
Com uma mistura de formas orgânicas e geométricas em composições figurativas contemporâneas, ela apresenta um universo de percepções femininas que dialogam com pensamentos, sentimentos e emoções, dando a cada imagem uma vida simbólica. Ela propõe uma narrativa instigante em que as cores dão harmonia ao todo, estabelecendo uma dinâmica em que o fazer anda de mãos dadas com questões existenciais.

Master in Computer Graphics from PUC-Rio, she took specialization courses in mosaic creation, glass painting, and Art History. She has participated in exhibitions in Brazil and abroad, publications, and art auctions.
