What is

Jaguar Parade<\/strong> is an open-air art exhibition of decorated jaguar statues. It is an art installation with a purpose: to raise funds and awareness about the urgent need to conserve jaguars and their habitats.<\/p>

Placing the jaguar statues in key public places brings the environmental cause to the forefront of the public\u2019s attention, reaching millions of people in a very unique way.<\/p>

By the end of the exhibition period, the statues are auctioned and 100% of net proceeds will be donated to jaguar conservation efforts.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The Cause<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t

Jaguars exist in 18 countries in Latin America, from Mexico to Argentina. Despite this broad range, jaguars have been eradicated in nearly half of their historic range.<\/p>

The species is threatened by loss and fragmentation of jaguar habitats, conflict with people due to the real or perceived threat posed to livestock, and overhunting of the jaguar\u2019s prey.<\/p>

Conserving the jaguar means conserving tropical forests, wetlands, and other environments that are crucial to the wellbeing of humans and countless other species.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Jaguar Parade\u2019s first edition took place in S\u00e3o Paulo from October to November 2019. With 87 statues, it is the biggest open-air art exhibition in the history of S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/strong><\/p>

Approximately 10 million people saw the jaguars in the streets and parks of S\u00e3o Paulo and 100 million people were reached by the media coverage.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
