Jaguar Parade São Paulo 2019
Jaguar Parade is both an open-air exhibition of decorated jaguars created by artists and celebrities, as well as an open dialogue with the general public about wildlife and the importance of biodiversity conservation.
Through the jaguar sculptures, we’ve found a creative way to raise awareness about endangered species as well as funds that are donated to world-leading organizations working on the ground to protect our natural environment. By the end of the parade, all the jaguars are auctioned and find themselves a new home.
In our previous post, we got into the finer points about the movement and jaguar habitats in the tropical forests and wetlands of America. Learn more about the cause by clicking here.
Painting a New Reality
Jaguar Parade São Paulo:
The First and The Biggest
São Paulo metropolis streets became even more colorful and interesting with the Jaguar Parade 2019.
It was the biggest urban art exhibition in the history of the city. The event truly suited the vibrance of the cultural capital of Latin America, where the message about jaguar preservation could roar loudly throughout the populous city.
The Action
At the end of the exhibition, all the sculptures were auctioned on the International Jaguar Day (November 29), raising a total amount of R$631.500,00.
The funds were distributed to some of the most significant NGOs committed to the preservation of the iconic Brazilian animal, fauna, and ecosystems, such as:
- The Onçafari – an organization that promotes the social-economic development of important biomes through scientific studies and ecotourism.
- SOS Pantanal – an institution that works in defense of Pantanal and its nature and culture.
- Ampara Animal – an organization that focuses on the rehabilitation of wild animals and the reintroduction back into their natural habitat.
The driven team
Without our sponsors and partners, we couldn’t have made it so big and so successful. They were also really proud of taking part in an initiative that goes hand in hand with what they believe and practice.
“The idea of mixing art and conservation was excellent and I believe that events like this should be replicated all over Brazil.”
“Bringing the jaguars to the center of attention in one the major cities of Latin America kicked off a mass transformation process that we need to address to achieve a sustainable development.”
“The Jaguar Parade made the animal symbol of our fauna more cherished and loved. So now, together, we will all learn how to look after them so they will continue to exist.”

Over the 55 days of the exhibition, the Jaguar Parade had a broad organic reach and a media coverage worth R$24 million through different communication channels:
